Circuit Court of Cook County: Divorce (Contribution Award)


$935,000.00 

The firm successfully prosecuted a Contribution action, requiring the opponent to pay all of the firm's client's attorneys fees for their representation during a six (6) month trial on the issues of business valuation and dissipation.  

Illinois Appellate Court (First District) (Appellant/Landlord)

The firm successfully defended a commercial landlord on appeal from a long-term commercial lease with a Subway franchise, arguing that a damage limiting clause which part of the lease was unconscionable and formed without consideration. The reviewing court reversed a trial court decision concerning the clause and required the tenant to pay on the remainder of the lease obligation.  

Circuit Court of Cook County: Plaintiff (Personal Injury)

Verdict: $550,000.00


The firm successfully represented a fifty-eight (58) year old taxicab driver who sued the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) for a shoulder injury that he sustained in a vehicular accident.  The CTA offered $95,000.00 prior to the commencement of the trial.
